Our Mission

Because every child learns and develops differently, we at Cooper Kids Therapy Associates believe it is vital to your child’s future to seek immediate professional help if you think there may be a problem. The earlier your child is assessed and treated, the better his or her chances are for realizing effective, long-lasting results.

Our Services

Evaluations

Our team of qualified professionals assesses each child’s developmental skills. The purpose of our evaluations is to establish a child’s eligibility for the Early Intervention Program.

Speech Therapy

Delays in communication and language development are often the first sign of a developmental delay in young children. Speech therapy focuses on communication skills including gesturing, speaking, listening, and understanding.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy focuses on gross motor skills such as rolling, sitting, standing, walking, and climbing. Physical therapy targets the motor skills each child needs to navigate their environment.

Occupational Therapy

“Occupations” are the daily life activities in which children engage. Occupational therapy facilitates activities of daily living such as rest and sleep, play, feeding, dressing, and social participation.

Special Instruction

A special instructor is a teacher who specializes in the learning processes of children with disabilities. They provide support for caregivers including new strategies to enhance their child’s development and participation in everyday life.

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)

ABA is designed to help children with a spectrum disorder, such as autism, develop social and emotional skills. Applied behavior analysis helps children make the connection between what happens before and after a specific behavior.

Feeding Therapy

Feeding therapy is provided by a speech or occupational therapist, focused on identifying the source of feeding difficulties and ways to make eating easier and more enjoyable for both the child and the caretaker.

PROMPT Therapy

PROMPT therapy is a tactile-kinesthetic (touch and feel) approach to speech. It is often used on children with motor speech disorders such as apraxia, dysarthria and/or phonological disorders.
We offer service coordination in English, Spanish, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, French, Creole, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
